Game Day Hub: Portland at Utah

By Cody Sharrett - The Portland Trail Blazers two-game preseason road trip continues Monday night with a visit to Salt Lake City to meet the Northwest Division rival Utah Jazz.

Despite a 30-point performance from third-year guard CJ McCollum, the Trail Blazers (1-2) enter the game coming off a 94-90 loss to the Kings in Sacramento Saturday night. Portland was forced to make due without All-Star point guard Damian Lillard (ankle) and up-and-coming forward Moe Harkless (concussion) in the defeat.

"I can’t wait to be able to just play again,” Harkless told media following Sunday’s practice in Utah. "I want to be out there playing and just being more comfortable with the system and with my teammates. That’s what preseason is for, so I think it’s important for me to be out there at least a little bit just to get going."

Utah (2-1) also prepares for Monday’s meeting after falling to the Suns,101-85, Friday night in Phoenix. Gordon Hayward led the Jazz with 24 points on 6-of-11 shooting in the loss.
