LEGACY - How will what we do today impact future generations from now? That's what keeps us up late at night. And gets us up early in the morning.

Over $1 million benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Portland – The Trail Blazers Boys & Girls Club opened in 1995 and is located in northeast Portland. The facility was the first in the nation sponsored by a professional sports team.

The Albina Head Start McCormack-Matthews Center opened in north Portland in 2004, providing education and health services to preschoolers and their families. The project is a Trail Blazers family effort with nearly $1 million in contributions coming from Trail Blazers owner, Paul Allen, the Trail Blazers organization, and team alum Damon Stoudamire.

The Paul G. Allen Family Foundation contribution $1 million to the building of the new Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. The Trail Blazers have also contributed nearly $60,000 to the building and ongoing support of the hospital.

Trail Blazers owner Paul Allen, has been named one of the top philanthropists in America with lifetime giving totaling more than $900 million. Allen gives back to the community through the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, which strengthens communities and sup ports vulnerable populations in the areas of arts and culture, health and human services, opportunities for youth, and scientific advancement. Since its inception in 1988 the Foundation has made grants totaling nearly $48 million to organizations throughout Oregon. Beneficiaries in the Portland metropolitan area include Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, SMART, Portland Center Stage, the Multnomah County Library Foundation, Artists Repertory Theatre, Metropolitan Family Services, Albina Head Start and Saturday Academy.
