Trail Blazers Executive named Senior Advisor to Vulcan Sports Enterprises
PORTLAND, OR – The Portland Trail Blazers and Vulcan Sports & Entertainment (VSE) announced today that Mike Golub will leave his current role as Trail Blazers Chief Operating Officer to become the Senior Advisor to Vulcan Sports & Entertainment.
"Mike's leadership has been a driving force in the resurgence of the Trail Blazers and he has been a terrific ambassador in the community," said Tod Leiweke, CEO of Vulcan Sports & Entertainment. "He has been instrumental in our many recent successes and we are excited that we will now be able to utilize his unique talents and experience on behalf of the full Vulcan Sports & Entertainment portfolio."
In his new role with VSE, the company responsible for managing Paul Allen’s sports holdings, Golub will work closely with the Trail Blazers, Seattle Seahawks and the Seattle Sounders, as well as new VSE sports initiatives.

"His work ethic, passion and integrity have helped accelerate the transformation of our business, and will continue to serve us well in his new role."
Golub will develop marketing and community initiatives for the Seahawks in Portland. Additionally, he will work closely with the Trail Blazers, Seahawks and Sounders to integrate and coordinate the franchises under the VSE umbrella.

Golub will remain based in Portland, where he serves on numerous community boards including Portland Parks and Recreation, Portland Center Stage, Oregon Sports Authority, Oregon Business Association and the Oregon Humane Society.
