Trail Blazers Acquire Brendan Haywood, Mike Miller and Draft Picks from Cleveland

PORTLAND, Ore. (July 27, 2015) – The Portland Trail Blazers have acquired center Brendan Haywood, guard Mike Miller and two future second round draft picks from the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for cash considerations, it was announced today by President of Basketball Operations Neil Olshey.

Portland will receive the more valuable of the two second round picks between Minnesota and the L.A. Lakers in 2019, and Cleveland’s second round pick in 2020.

Haywood, 35, holds career NBA averages of 6.8 points (52.8% FG, 58.7% FT), 6.0 rebounds, 0.5 assists and 1.36 blocked shots over 13 seasons with Washington, Dallas, Charlotte and Cleveland.

Miller, 35, is averaging 11.3 points (46.0% FG, 40.7% 3-PT, 76.9% FT), 4.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists in 15 NBA seasons with Orlando, Memphis, Minnesota, Washington, Miami and Cleveland.

The 2001 NBA Rookie of the Year and 2006 NBA Sixth Man of the Year, Miller ranks 18th among all-time NBA 3-point field goal leaders with 1,563.
