Dance experience:
I have been dancing since the age of two in the areas of tap, jazz, and ballet. When I was six I danced with the Geoffrey Ballet in their production of Cinderella at the Civic Opera House in Chicago. In high school I was a member of the Streamwood Pom team and became captain my senior year.
I made the official dance team of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the Illinettes, my freshman year in college. I continued as a member of the Illinettes for four years holding the position of captain my junior year. After graduating from the University of Illinois I traveled to Florida and began working at the Walt Disney World Resorts where I danced in the Celebrate the Seasons holiday show at Cinderella’s Castle in Magic Kingdom.
This is my first year as a Chicago Luvabull, and I am looking forward to an exciting season with the Luvabulls and the Bulls.
Career goals:
To continue performing in the areas of acting, modeling and dancing. In addition, I would like to continue my education in all areas of physical fitness. I would also like to help our nation’s youth fight obesity by developing after school programs geared around physical fitness.
Lifetime goals:
First and foremost I would like to be healthy and happy. I also want to take every experience as a lesson and continue to grow from those experiences. I consider my life a journey in which I continue to reach and set new goals. I look forward to what the future brings.
Three words that describe me are:
Ambitious, Strong and Optimistic
Best advice or quote:
Trust your instincts, they are rarely incorrect.
“Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.” Helen Keller
“Pain is just weakness leaving your body.”
I’m happiest when:
I’m performing.
My claim to fame is:
Being in the Luigi’s House and Julian’s Piano bar commercial in 2007. Also being interviewed and performing for the 2005 NCAA championships when Illinois went to the Final Four!
Most unusual job:
I do not think I have ever held one.
Most people don’t know this about me:
I would like to be in charge of a charitable organization.
My most embarrassing moment:
I backed my car through a wooden fence at my high school while a soccer game was going on and football practice was ending! Everyone was driving by and couldn’t believe what they were seeing. In addition, the athletic director and some of my teachers saw. A large part of the fence was missing for at least a month and students found that to be their way to easily ditch school! It was quite embarrassing at the time, but I am extremely grateful no one was hurt. For those reasons, I look back at it now and laugh.
My passions are:
Dancing, acting, helping others and working out.
Favorite food:
Alaskan King Crab Legs
Favorite movie:
300 because it gets me pumped and Just Married because I laugh the entire time.
Favorite book:
It’s not About the Bike: My Journey Back to Life by Lance Armstrong
I stay home to watch:
Soap Operas, Dancing with the Stars and movies
If I could vacation anywhere, I’d:
go to Europe to see all of the beautiful historical and architectural sites. I would also like to visit Australia because it looks like a scenic and energetic place.
The people I admire most:
I admire my mom, dad and stepdad the most. They have always supported my decisions and have done everything they can to help me follow my dreams. I am extremely grateful to all of them.
My proudest accomplishment:
Graduating from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with high honors.
What is the best advice you could give to children?
Follow your dreams and be optimistic. Everything happens for a reason even if you can’t understand “why” right away.
What is the best gift you’ve ever received:
College
Two people you would like to have dinner with:
