August 14, 2008 – The Chicago Bulls announced today its 2008.09 eight-game preseason schedule, including four home games at the United Center and one home game at the Assembly Hall in Champaign, Ill., home of the Fighting Illini.
Chicago’s preseason will get underway on Thursday, October 9 when the Bulls host the Dallas Mavericks at the United Center at 7:30 P.M. Chicago will then face the Indiana Pacers on Friday, October 10 at 6:00 P.M. (CT); the location of this game is TBD.
The Bulls will travel downstate to play one exhibition contest away from the United Center. Chicago will host former University of Illinois star Deron Williams and the Utah Jazz at the Assembly Hall in Champaign, Ill. on Friday, October 17. This will be the first time Williams has played at the Assembly Hall since leading the Fighting Illini to the 2005 Final Four. Tickets for this game will go on sale to the public on Saturday, August 23 at 10:00 A.M. at the Assembly Hall Box Office, online at www.ticketmaster.com, or by calling 217.333.5000.
Other home contests at the United Center for the Bulls this preseason include match-ups against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday, October 14, the Utah Jazz on Saturday, October 18, and versus the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday, October 24. All Bulls preseason home games will begin at 7:30 P.M.
Besides their contest against the Pacers, the Bulls will also travel to preseason games at Dallas on Tuesday, October 21, and at Minnesota on Wednesday, October 22.
