Anaheim, Calif., March 12, 2008 — The Anaheim Arsenal added depth to their team through waivers and a historic trade on Tuesday.

Anaheim picked up guard Mike Efevberha, a 6-4, 195 pound guard, who is averaging 15.1 ppg, 4.2 rpg and 1.2 spg this season, from the Iowa Energy in the D-League’s first ever 3-team trade. On March 9, he scored 35 points against the Bakersfield Jam to go with 4 rebounds and 4 steals.

The historic trade that helped land Efevberha in Anaheim, involved a three-team deal that sent Adam Haluska, a 6-5, 210-pound guard, from the Rio Grande Valley Vipers to the Iowa Energy, and 6-8, 230-pound former Arsenal forward Ivan Johnson to Rio Grande Valley.

In order to fill the vacancy in the front court left by Johnson, Anaheim picked up First-Team All-Big 10 Performer Mario Boggan. Boggan, a 6-7, 235 pound forward averaged 19.0 ppg, 7.6 rpg, and shot .540 from the field as a senior with Oklahoma State.

“We are glad to get both these players,” said head coach Reggie Geary. “Efevberha, we think will fit in nicely to our system and will get Arsenal fans excited. And we hope that Boggan, at his size, will give us consistent low post scoring.”
