ANAHEIM, CA, July 3, 2007 - The Anaheim Arsenal basketball franchise will be hosting a youth basketball camp August 7-9, open to boys and girls ages 7-18. The cost of the camp is $125.00 (includes camp t-shirt and single game ticket). The camp will take place at the world's largest indoor sports facility, the American Sports Center at 1500 S. Anaheim Blvd., Anaheim, CA 92805.

The camp will be headed up by former NBA player and current Anaheim Arsenal Head Coach Reggie Geary. Coach Geary was an All-American at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana. He went on to be recruited by and play for Hall of Fame coach Lute Olson at the University of Arizona. Coach Geary earned All-Pac 10 honors as a senior while closing out his collegiate career as the all-time steals leader (208) and ranked third in all-time assists (506). He was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 1996 NBA draft and played for both the Cavaliers and San Antonio Spurs. Coach Geary enjoyed an eight year professional career in all, with stops in the NBA, CBA and Europe, respectively. Coach Geary has had the great fortune to work with legendary coaches Gary McKnight, Gregg Popovich, Lute Olson, and Pete Newell, to name a few.

The camp will take place from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon and will be divided by age and skill level. The camp will concentrate on the basic fundamentals of basketball: rebounding, ball-handling, passing, individual defense, free throw shooting, and jump shooting which will then be implemented into game play. For players of all skill levels, this is the camp to attend!
