The Memphis Grizzlies recalled forward Jarell Martin from the team’s NBA Development League affiliate, the Iowa Energy, Grizzlies General Manager Chris Wallace announced today.
Martin (6-10, 239) has recorded 13.6 points and 6.3 rebounds in 30.6 minutes in seven games (six starts) over five assignments to Iowa. The 21-year-old posted D-League career highs with 22 points and 13 rebounds in his most recent game on Feb. 3 at Texas. Selected by Memphis in the first round (25th overall) of the 2015 NBA Draft following his sophomore season at Louisiana State University, Martin has totaled two points in nine minutes in two appearances during his rookie season.
