Hawks Host Bowl-n-Ball
The Atlanta Hawks held its spring fundraiser, Bowl-n-Ball, on March 13th at Ten Pin Alley in Atlantic Station. This unique event allowed fans, sponsors and season ticket holders the chance to mingle with the Hawks team and coaching staff while enjoying dinner, games, live and silent auctions and much more. And it was all for a good cause. Proceeds from the event benefited the Hawks Foundation, which is dedicated to improving the lives of Georgia’s children through programs that promote education, physical fitness and the sport of basketball.

Foundation Grants
The Atlanta Hawks Foundation takes pride in giving back to communities where our fans live, work and play. One way that we support these neighborhoods is through the Foundation's grant program. To make a meaningful impact, the Foundation has chosen to support the following three focus areas:

1. Education – This grant is awarded to a non-profit that is using innovative methods and programs to educate Georgia’s youth.

2. Health & Wellness – In an effort to help reduce childhood obesity, this grant will be awarded to a non-profit organization helping kids develop an active lifestyle and/or healthy eating habits.

3. Recreation – This grant is awarded to a non-profit organization dedicated to engaging youth in athletics and other physical fitness activities.

Since the Atlanta Hawks Foundation receives funding requests far in excess of its budget, worthy causes may be declined when even when the request falls into one of the three focus areas. The Foundation will be accepting grant applications from March 1 thru April 15, 2008. Award notifications will be made in June 2008.
