Kent Bazemore Continues Hawks' Tradition At BB&T Atlanta Open

Kent Bazemore continued the Hawks tradition of having a player take on a tennis pro during the week of the annual BB&T Atlanta Open at Atlantic Station.

Bazemore played against Steve Johnson, who's currently ranked 49th in the world and has been as high as 37.  Johnson is the most decorated college tennis player of all time, having won the singles national championship in 2011 and 2012, and having won the team national championship all 4 years of college while at USC.

Bazemore and Johnson played a game of tennis, then shot some hoops Monday afternoon.  Bazemore follows the likes of Zaza Pachulia and DeMarre Carroll as former Hawks who have taken part.

Johnson is the 6 seed in the singles tournament and will play Slovakian Lukas Lacko in the first round.  On the doubles side, he'll team up with Filipino Treat Huey.

The tournament runs daily this week through Sunday at Atlantic Station.  Click here to learn more about it.
