HEAT Teams Up With KIA To Offer Kia Crossover Challenge
MIAMI, March 29 –The 2006 NBA Champion Miami HEAT and Kia Motors America have teamed up to give the concept of dribble and drive a whole new meaning. The Kia Crossover Challenge offers South Florida HEAT Fans the chance to win free tickets to an upcoming HEAT game, while supplies last, by showing off their basketball skills and test driving any new Kia vehicle at participating Kia retailers. The Kia Crossover Challenge is a new promotion launched on March 12 as a result of the partnership between the defending NBA champs and the car retailer.
Nine South Florida Kia dealerships are participating in the Kia Crossover Challenge:
The dealerships have been equipped with life-sized cut outs of HEAT Guard Jason Williams, co-branded basketball hoops and banners. “Jason Williams is known for his ball handling skills, including the ‘crossover dribble’, so we thought he’d be the perfect representative for this promotion,” said Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Michael A. McCullough. “Fans will test drive a Kia vehicle, participate in some fun basketball drills ‘against Jason’ and they’ll be rewarded with free HEAT tickets.” “Kia is happy to partner with last year’s NBA champs and offer HEAT fans a chance to see their beloved squad make another run at the title while experiencing the exciting and enabling Kia brand,” said Percy Vaughn, Director, regional operations, southern region.
