Nominal ticket price increases for the first time in the last four seasons
MIAMI, Feb. 6 - The Miami HEAT announced today that the 2004-05 Season Ticket Renewal Process has begun. In an unprecedented move, HEAT staff members, as an extension of the popular Buddy Program guest service initiative, will be hand-delivering the renewal packages and personally contacting each HEAT season ticket holder during the renewal process.
Returning Season Ticket Holders (Renewals)
For the 2004-05 HEAT season, longtime season ticket holders in the $160 and $80 season ticket price categories will see their loyalty rewarded, as there will be no price increase in these two price categories. This is the fourth consecutive year that fans sitting in these price categories have seen their ticket prices remain the same. There will be nominal price increases in the other price categories for returning season ticket holders. Of the 10 total price categories, three will remain the same ($160, $95, $80), two will increase by just $1 per game ($17, $8) and five will increase by $2 per game ($65, $50, $40, $35 and $20). Even with these nominal price increases, the HEAT still offers the lowest-priced lower bowl season ticket price in the NBA ($22). After reducing the prices for more than 50 percent of their seating inventory prior to the 2003-04 season, these increases mark the first time in four seasons that the HEAT has raised any season ticket prices.
The renewal period begins today and runs through March 12, 2004. Once again, the HEAT is offering three convenient payment methods for Season Ticket Holders:
1. Full Payment by March 12, 2004 by cash, check or credit card (returning $160 and $80 season ticket holders will receive a 5 percent discount when they pay in full by March 12, 2004).
2. Pay in eight (8) monthly, interest-free credit card installment payments.
3. Pay 40 percent of the renewal total by March 12, 2004, and the remaining 60 percent by July 1, 2004.
New this season, the HEAT will conduct a two-day Season Ticket Upgrade Event (April 12-13), where renewing Season Ticket Holders will be invited to the AmericanAirlines Arena to personally select their new, upgraded season ticket seat location.
Season Ticket Holders retain these and many other fun and exclusive benefits offered by the HEAT:
The right to retain their seat locations for the playoffs and to purchase additional playoff tickets prior to the general public;
Lower ticket prices than individual game tickets;
Season Ticket Holder only events with HEAT players and coaches;
