Encore Presentation of the Color White is Team’s Playoff Promotional Campaign
MIAMI, April 19 – The Miami HEAT announced today the formal unveiling of their 2007 playoff promotional campaign—White Hot HEAT 2007: an encore presentation of the color White, which stimulated a “state of intense emotion” and rallied HEAT fans everywhere during the 2006 NBA championship season. The HEAT invites the entire community to get behind and participate in White Hot HEAT 2007. White will not only be the color fans wear to the game, it will become a recognizable symbol of support for the HEAT in all daily activities. In preparation for the start of the playoffs, the HEAT, its corporate partners and local municipalities have outlined numerous activities designed to energize South Florida to create the most intense playoff experience in the NBA. Game 1 – White Hot HEAT Playoff T-shirt - sponsored by Miccosukee Resort & Gaming HEAT fans can show the world how they support the HEAT by participating in these two interactive promotions. First, fans are invited to submit their own White Hot fan videos by following the detailed instructions on WhiteHotHEAT.com. In addition to being viewed on the website, the HEAT will select one fan-generated video submission and air the video on HEATV in the AmericanAirlines Arena. One HEAT fan-generated video will be selected and featured on HEATV during each home playoff game. Additionally, fans may submit digital photos depicting their White Hot support to be featured in the White Hot HEAT photo galleries on WhiteHotHEAT.com . Photos can be submitted via email to WhiteHotHEAT@HEAT.com. HEAT fans are invited to sport the mark of a champion on their cars by displaying an oversized White Hot car magnet, which will be randomly distributed around South Florida during the playoff period by the White Hot HEAT street team. All Miami Hoops Gear retail locations will also distribute magnets. Fans can also get their free car magnet when they sign up for HEAT text alerts by texting the words “HEAT alerts” to GOHEAT (464328) or by signing up for Live! Wire, the HEAT email newsletter and opting-in to receive HEAT offers at WhiteHotHEAT.com. This offer begins on April 18, 2007 and ends on May 25, 2007 or while supplies last. Playoff Road Rallies for Round 1 of the 2007 Playoffs will be presented by Bacardi and hosted at Finnegan’s on the River, 401 S.W. 3rd Avenue in downtown Miami. To accommodate HEAT fans who want White Hot merchandise, the Miami Hoops Gear flagship team store location at the AmericanAirlines Arena will have special playoff hours effective immediately. The new hours are Monday – Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Also, the Miami HEAT will open a new White Hot Retail Tent outside of AmericanAirlines Arena. The retail tent will be located on the west side of the arena near Gate 2 and will be open only on game days. The tent will feature White Hot HEAT 2007 Playoff merchandise and will open one hour prior to the opening of the arena doors. The three outside Miami Hoops Gear locations at Dolphin Mall, Dadeland Mall and Sawgrass Mills will also stock White Hot HEAT gear and will be open during regular mall hours. SUN SPORTS ROUND 1: HEAT local television broadcast partner Sun Sports will broadcast all playoff games made available for local team broadcast, along with a 30 minute pre-game show and extended post-game coverage. Eric Reid will handle play-by-play duties, with Tony Fiorentino providing color commentary. Jason Jackson will reprise his role as sideline reporter. ROUND 2: Once again, HEAT local television broadcast partner Sun Sports will broadcast all playoff games made available for local team broadcast, along with a 30-minute pre-game show and extended post-game coverage. For playoff games that are not broadcast locally on Sun Sports, Sun Sports will broadcast a one hour pre-game show along with one hour of post-game coverage and commentary. ROUND 3 / NBA Finals: Sun Sports will broadcast a one hour pre-game show along with one hour of post-game coverage for every game played in Round 3 and the NBA Finals. SPANISH TV Sun Sports Spanish television game broadcasts will follow the same schedule as the English television game broadcasts, with the exception of the pre-game and post-game coverage. ENGLISH RADIO HEAT Radio 610 WIOD will carry all HEAT playoff games and will have expanded HEAT playoff coverage featuring HEAT play-by-play announcer Mike Inglis, color commentator John Crotty and host Jorge Sedano. SPANISH RADIO All HEAT playoff games can be heard en Español on Radio Mambi WAQI 710 AM. José Pañeda will handle the play-by-play duties, with Joe Pujala serving as host / color commentator. |
