JOE BLOCK - STUDIO HOST

Joe Block begins his second season as Hornets radio studio host in 2008-09. He also hosts the monthly “Hornets TV” show on Cox Sports Television and calls play-by-play on CST and regional cable network Comcast Sports Southeast, where he broadcasts Georgia Tech football and other events.

Previously, Block hosted talk shows in Jacksonville, FL, and, in college, at Michigan State University, where he graduated with a degree in journalism. He has also described basketball and baseball play-by-play in Jacksonville, Charleston, SC., St. Paul, MN, Great Falls, MT., and on a fill-in basis with the Montreal Expos from 2003-04.

Block, 30, is a native of Roseville, MI., and resides in River Ridge, LA.
