Marshall Answers

New Jazz star Donyell Marshall recently stopped by to check his email before departing on a three-game road trip. Here is what he had to say...

Erick from Ozark, Alabama asks: How do you like playing with Karl Malone and John Stockton?

Donyell Marshall: I love it! Those guys have taught me about work ethic and things like that and basketball. Even though I have been in the league seven years, I'm still young and those guys have taught me a lot."

Cindy from Auburn, Wyoming asks: What is like playing for the Jazz?

DM: It's been great. I love the fans. I love the guys on the team. It's been great. It's been real fun. Playing with the Jazz has helped me a appreciate basketball again.

Kathy asks: How have you adapted to the pick and roll offense?

DM: I've adapted pretty well. I'm able to read off of Karl and John, and I'm able to score, because John is such a great passer he can find you if you're open. That's our bread-and-butter play. That's been the bread-and-butter play forever. I've been able to adapt to it pretty well.

Jennifer from Ogden, Utah asks: Who does your hair? I find it interesting that you have it re-done so often.

DM: A friend of a friend. After I got traded, one of the guys I met had a friend that did it for me.

Craig and Kathy ask: Karl Malone says you are the MVP of the team. Why do you think he says this?

DM: Actually I don't know why Karl keeps saying that. It's a great compliment coming from Karl. As far as I'm concerned this is always going to be Karl's team so Ib
