Early this week, NBA players including Kyle Korver (Utah Jazz), Ronny Turiaf (L.A. Lakers), Pat Garrity (Orlando Magic), and Linton Johnson (Phoenix Suns) as well as a team of NBA coaches arrived in New Delhi, India to participate in the NBA’s first event in India when Basketball without Borders Asia tips off at the American Embassy School of New Delhi July 3-6.
The 2008 Rocky Mountain Revue, presented by StoresOnline, will take place at the Lifetime Activities Center located on the Redwood Campus of Salt Lake Community College from July 18-25. Eight teams will participate in this year’s Revue, headlined by the Utah Jazz which expects to have 2008 first-round pick Kosta Koufos on its roster as well as returning Jazzmen Morris Almond and Kyrylo Fesenko.
Koufos, 19, averaged 14.4 points and 6.7 rebounds per game for OSU as a freshman last season, while earning both third team All-Big Ten honors and the conference’s All-Freshman team. He was fifth in the Big Ten in points (14.4 ppg) and rebounding (6.7 rpg) and finished second in blocked shots (1.8 bpg).
Utah Jazz general manager Kevin O’Connor announced today that the team has exercised its option on forward Paul Millsap for the 2008-09 season, and has tendered a qualifying offer to guard C.J. Miles. Per team policy, financial terms were not released.
With the 23rd pick in the 2008 draft the Utah Jazz took center Kosta Koufos from Ohio State University. In the second round the Jazz took Europeans Ante Tomic (44th pick) and Tadija Dragicevic (53rd pick). General Manager Kevin O’Connor confirmed that the later two will remain in Europe for at least one year before potentially coming to the NBA.

Despite a disappointing season with the Jazz, Jason Hart has exercised his option to return for the 2008-09 season, agent Bill Neff said Wednesday. Hart ended the season out of the rotation as the team's No. 3 point guard.
