The Utah Jazz activated center Jarron Collins, it was announced today by Head Coach, Jerry Sloan. Collins suffered a sprained right shoulder on Friday, March 4 at New Orleans and has missed eight games due to the injury.
Collins has played in 37 games this season and has averaged 4.3 points, 2.8 rebounds in 16.7 minutes per game. He spent 21 games on the injured list earlier this season with a sprained MCL.
In a related move the team placed forward Andrei Kirilenko on the injured list with a broken left wrist. Kirilenko injured his wrist in the opening quarter of Thursday’s game against the Washington Wizards. In 41 games this season, Kirilenko has averaged 15.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and is currently leading the league in blocked shots with 3.3. Kirilenko missed 26 games earlier this season with a sprained right knee.
