The 2007 Monarchs season had a different look. It all started with new jerseys, then a new coach and a new starting line-up. The team faced difficult obstacles and too many injuries to count, but their ability to remain a team never faded. The 2007 Monarchs team was different in many ways, but through all of the changes, one thing remained: the desire to win.

Monarchs Soar Into Game 2

After having a four-point lead at halftime, the Monarchs opened the third quarter with a 13-2 run to pull away from the Silver Stars in Thursday's 86-65 home win in Game 1 of the series. Nicole Powell tallied 22 points and eight rebounds, while Rebekkah Brunson and Kara Lawson added 17 and 16 points, respectively.
