NEW YORK -– The New York Knicks’ final home game of the season will pay special tribute to its fans with a series of rewards and unique experiences as part of Knicks Fan Appreciation Night, presented by the Chase Freedom Credit Card. The game against the Detroit Pistons on April 15 at Madison Square Garden will be highlighted by the availability of free food and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the game, opportunities to meet Knicks alumni, a “Jerseys Off Our Back” ceremony, discounts on Knicks merchandise, special in-game elements saluting fans, and a Knicks hat courtesy of Chase.
The festivities will begin when The World’s Most Famous Arena opens early to the public at 6:30 pm before the 8:00 pm game. Fans in the arena will have the opportunity to meet a variety of Knicks alumni, including Dick Barnett, Walt Frazier, Allan Houston, Bernard King, Earl Monroe, Cal Ramsey, Willis Reed, John Starks, John Wallace, Herb Williams and Jerome Williams.
Fans attending the game are invited to enjoy free food – including many Madison Square Garden signature items – and non-alcoholic beverages from MSG’s concession stands. In addition, there will be a discount on regularly-priced Knicks merchandise at MSG Team stores in the Arena.
At the conclusion of the game, the Knicks will hold a “Jerseys Off Our Backs” ceremony at center court, where the players will present their game-worn jerseys to select fans and autograph them. The jerseys will be presented to a group of fans from Knicks’ community and Garden of Dreams Foundation partner organizations, local youth basketball programs and Knicks season subscribers.
Throughout the game, there will be special entertainment geared towards thanking fans in attendance for their support for the team this season, including special video messages from Knicks players and alumni. The “Thank You” messages will also reach fans outside The Garden through the Knicks digital and social media channels.
