NYK 82, IND 105: Turnovers Doom Knicks in Slow Start

How it Happened

On the second night of a back-to-back, the Knicks suffered a similar fate tonight in Indana. After falling to Sacramento on Friday, Derek Fisher's team couldn't keep up with the streaking Pacers -- winners of 9 of their last 11 games -- in a 105-82 loss.

Andrea Bargnani led the Knicks with 25 points and at times they had success attacking Indy's physical defense, but the New York offense suffered from 19 turnovers -- eight of which came in the 1st quarter. On the other side, David West and Luis Scola took turns punishing the Knicks from the mid range for 22 points and 10 rebounds between them.

Tim Hardaway Jr. and Langston Galloway stayed in attack mode all night and combined for 10 rebounds, but the young backcourt needed 29 shots to get their 24 points. Every time the Knicks made a run -- like when they narrowed the lead to 15 with a 12-3 rally to start the 3rd quarter -- but the Pacers had answers. Rodney Stuckey scored 17 points off the bench.

Knick of the Night

Bargnani utilized his size mismatch to help give the Knicks' offense a boost at times. By forcing Indiana's bigs to step away from the hoop, it opened driving lanes for his teammates.
