Sweepstakes Period: Sweepstakes begins on 3:00PM ET on May 9, 2008 and ends at 11:59PM ET on May 16, 2008 ("Sweepstakes Period").
Sponsor: Madison Square Garden, L.P. ("MSG") and the New York Knicks ("Knicks") (collectively, "Sponsor").
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. Confirm, update or provide the Knicks Seasons Subscriptions Department with your valid e-mail address for your full or partial season subscription account ("Account") by May 16, 2008 and you will automatically be entered into the Big Night Invite Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes"). E-mail addresses can be updated via the My Knicks Account Manager link on nyknicks.com, via an e-mail message with "2008 BIG NIGHT INVITE" in the subject line to seasonsubscriptions@thegarden.com, or by calling your Account Executive at (212) 465-6073. In order to qualify for the Sweepstakes, all Accounts must be in good standing (as determined by the Knicks) with valid e-mail addresses on file by the conclusion of the Sweepstakes Period. There is a limit of one entry per person, per household. If more than one entry is received by Sponsor for any Season Subscriber (as defined below), only the first entry received will be considered for this Sweepstakes. Facsimile and/or mechanical reproductions of entries are not eligible. Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, stolen, illegible, incomplete, postage due, misdirected entries or mail or for errors in the printing of the offer, administration of the sweepstakes or the announcement of prizes.
Eligibility: Only Knicks season subscribers ("Season Subscribers") with a valid 2007/2008 Account and/or Season Subscribers who establish an Account on or before 11:59PM on May 16, 2008 for the Knicks’ 2008/2009 season are eligible for this Sweepstakes. Entrants must be legal US residents, 21 years of age or older at the time of entry. Sweepstakes is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees and directors of Sponsor, the National Basketball Association and its member teams, NBA Properties, Inc. (collectively, "NBA Entities"), and all of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, advertising and promotional agencies, and the immediate family (spouse, parent, sibling and children) and household members of such employees, directors and officers are not eligible.
Selection of Winners: On or about May 20, 2008, Sponsor will select the winner in a random drawing from and among all eligible entries received. Winner will be notified by e-mail on or about May 20, 2008. If winner is unreachable or does not make direct contact with Sponsor by the date specified in the notification or fails to accept the prize, the winner will forfeit the prize in its entirety and an alternate winner will be selected from the remaining eligible entries. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. Sponsor’s decisions on the selection of winners, and all matters relating to this Sweepstakes, shall be final.
Prizes: One (1) winner will receive two (2) tickets, valued at $189.50 each, for the Eagles concert on Friday, May 30, 2008 at Madison Square Garden (the "Concert"), exact seat locations shall be determined by Sponsor.
Prize Conditions: Winners are solely responsible for any expenses, including transportation to and from the Concert, food and beverages during the Concert and any other costs not expressly described as part of the prize. Prize cannot be transferred, substituted, assigned, or redeemed for cash, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. In the event of prize unavailability, including cancellation or postponement of the Concert, any prize or any portion of any prize may be substituted for one of equal or greater value, in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Winner may be required to return to Sponsor a completed Affidavit of Eligibility and Waiver/Release within forty-eight (48) hours of receipt of such Affidavit and Release, which will be sent to the selected winner on or about the date the selected winner is notified, or an alternate winner may be selected. If the foregoing documents are not completed, signed, and returned within the respective stated time, or if an entrant is found to be ineligible, or if he/she does not comply with Official Rules, then the potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be randomly selected from the remaining eligible entries, time permitting. Except where prohibited by law, winner's acceptance of the prize constitutes agreement for the Sponsor and the NBA Entities to use said winner's name, photographs, video, likeness, statements (if true), biographical information, voice, and city and state of residence for advertising and trade purposes on a worldwide basis (without review by winner) and in all forms of media, without further compensation, remuneration, or authorization.
Sweepstakes Conditions: This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws. By participating, entrants waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Sweepstakes or these Official Rules. By providing your e-mail address you consent to being contacted by e-mail by the Sponsor and its affiliate companies. WINNERS AND ENTRANTS RELEASE, DISCHARGE, AND AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS, THE KNICKS, MADISON SQUARE GARDEN, L.P., THE NBA ENTITIES, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, PARENTS, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, AGENTS AND REPRESENTATIVES FROM AND AGAINST ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES, INJURY OR LOSSES, TO ANY PERSON (INCLUDING DEATH), OR PROPERTY, OF ANY KIND RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY FROM ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, MISUSE OR USE OF ANY PRIZE OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY SWEEPSTAKES RELATED ACTIVITY OR PARTICIPATION IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES.
Limitations of Liability: Sponsor and/or not responsible for late, lost, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, undeliverable, destroyed or postage due mail or entries. Sponsor may prohibit an entrant from participating in the Sweepstakes or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or the Sponsor’s representatives or employees. If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including but not limited to, by reason of tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor which, in the sole opinion of Sponsor, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the promotion, then Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Sweepstakes and select winners received prior to the action taken.
Claims/Choice of Law: (a) Any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes but in no event attorneys fees; and (b) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and hereby waives all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard for conflicts of law doctrine, and all proceedings shall take place in that State. All contestants who enter the Sweepstakes agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the State of New York and agree to waive the right to a jury trial with respect to any claim or dispute with regard to any aspect of the Sweepstakes or Sweepstakes Rules.
