The person I am referring is not currently a Knicks plan holder, but he/she was formerly a Knicks ticket plan holder. Am I still eligible to receive a referral commission?
Yes. You are eligible to receive a commission for any Knicks ticket plan purchased by someone who is not currently a Knicks ticket plan holder.
I persuaded a Knicks ticket plan holder to renew or upgrade their plan for next season. Am I eligible to receive a referral commission?
Only new ticket plan sales are eligible for a referral commission. Renewals and upgrades are not eligible for a referral commission.
Is there any limit to the number of referrals or the amount of commission I can earn during a season?
Not at all! Besides being our most valued customers, Knicks season subscribers and partial-plan holders are our best ambassadors as well. Your word-of-mouth is one of the best ways to let Knicks fans know the excitement of watching a Knicks game live at Madison Square Garden. Should you earn referral commissions greater than $600 in a year, we are required to report the referral commission as income to the Internal Revenue Service and will issue you a Form 1099 to document your referral income.
How do I receive my referral commission?
Your account representative will notify you when your commission has been processed. You can apply the commission to a playoff invoice, plan renewal deposit or you can choose to have a check for the amount of the referral commission sent to you. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks after your commission has been processed to receive your check.
