Boys & Girls Club of Venice Court Dedication

As part of the NBA Cares Live, Learn and Play program, the Lakers Youth Foundation proudly unveiled their latest court refurbishment project on March 29th at the Boys & Girls Club of Venice. Club members received an extra special surprise as Lakers Maurice Evans and Vladimir Radmanovic attended the dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony.

Immediately following the ceremony, Maurice and Vladimir hosted a basketball clinic for 50 children on the new court where, alongside the Next Level Basketball instructors, they taught the fundamentals of basketball as well as the importance of teamwork and education. Participants had the opportunity to sharpen their individual basketball skills and learn new techniques from the pros.

The Los Angeles Lakers Youth Foundation sponsored the renovation of the Club’s new gymnasium which features a state of the art hardwood floor, wall appliqués featuring Los Angeles Lakers players, court signage and other needed repairs and updates. The Lakers Youth Foundation strives to support local non-profits that are dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. The Foundation utilizes its resources to provide Los Angeles youth with educational, athletic, and recreational opportunities.
