Directions to Amway Arena
From Amway, A Different Way
Season ticket holders and people buying tickets online should be aware of the future changes to the way they go home if they use I-4 to go west or south of the Amway Arena or Bob Carr Performing Arts Center. As part of the construction of the I-4 and SR 408 interim interchange project, the westbound I-4 on-ramp near Robinson Street (A) will close permanently by the end of October 2007. A new westbound I-4 ramp (B) near Amelia Street will be opening at the same time.
The City of Orlando will posts detour so that everyone will be able to get onto westbound I-4. However, the most direct route to westbound I-4 will be from the parking lots on the Amelia Street side of the Arena, Lots #3 and #4.
This is important to know because purchasing season tickets, or on-line tickets, often allow patrons the opportunity to choose where they will be parking for each event.
A second westbound on-ramp from Hughey Avenue is being constructed as part of the I-4 and SR 408 interim interchange project. This additional ramp is anticipated to be opened by mid-2008.
