Q: When will the Events Center begin construction?
A: It is anticipated that construction of the Events Center will begin in late summer of 2008 and be completed in early fall 2010.
Q: Where is the new Events Center located?
A: The new Events Center will be built in downtown Orlando on the property located to the west of Church Street Station, on the corner of Church Street and Hughey Avenue.
Q: How big is the new Events Center?
A: The Events Center will be approximately 800,000 square feet and have the capability to host a wide number of local and world class events. Capacity for Magic games will be approximately 18,500 with the ability to expand to approximately 20,000 for major events. The Events Center will be more than twice as large as the current Amway Arena, which is 367,000 square feet.
Q: Can you describe aspects of the new Events Center?
A: The new Events Center is going to have amenities for every fan, from new seating options with wider seats, improved concession options, restaurants, interactive zones, a kid’s interactive zone, a wide variety of retail opportunities, an outdoor terrace entertainment area, wider concourses, amenities for every level of ticket buyer, $5 tickets for Magic games, and much more.
