As a part of the NBA Jam Van*, the Nuggets Dancers are spending some time in Hangzhou, China this summer to spread the joy of basketball. The Dancers are set to be in China from Tuesday, June 27th and Monday, July 3rd doing performances and appearances along with the NBA Jam Van. While on the trip, Lindsey Dudley, a veteran to the Nuggets Dance Team, will be keeping a daily blog on Nuggets.com to let everyone know how their experience abroad is going.

FOURTH ENTRY: SATURDAY, JULY 1ST
This mornig was another early morning! We went to the Buddhist Temple, which was absolutly amazing! We took pictures with the monks and visited all the temples. There are different Buddah's: from laughing Buddah to wealthy Buddah and one Buddah you pray to for having a baby boy! Buddhism is a very big religion and part of the Chinese way of life! After that, we went to the silk factory and saw how "real" silk is made and how to distinguish the difference between that and "fake" silk! We bought beautiful blankets and saw how hard they work and why silk is so expensive. That afternoon we went to a new venue, which was much busier because it is now the weekend! They loved our dancing and were crowded around the bus waiting to see us! We felt really famous and special! Before leaving we found out that I was on the front page of the daily newspaper along with an interview and pictures of all of us! Later that night when we were shopping people were coming up to us wanting to take more pictures with us and always touching my braids!!! It has been a trip of a lifetime, but we're excited to come home!!!

THIRD ENTRY: FRIDAY, JUNE 30TH
Today has been a jam-packed day! We started off early this morning with a visit to the green tea plantation where we were learned all about the tea from how it's made to you actuallly being able and enouraged to eat the tea leaves! It was definately a highlight so far! Next we took a ferry on the West Lake where Pudding, our tour guide and translator, explained all about the history and culture of the city Hangzhou where we currently are! It was a very small boat and I think Stefanie and Nicole were a little sea sick! As far as the dancing, it has been great! It is really HOT but the fans are crazy and want to know all about us! Sometimes we feel like we're the tourist attraction, which is really weird but exciting and makes us smile and laugh all the time!

SECOND ENTRY: THURSDAY, JUNE 29TH
After dancing today the NBA took us to a Chinese resturant where we tried everything from shark fins, bamboo, and jumbo prawns to duck, jellyfish and the famous West Lake carp! It was very interesting and something I will never forget!

FIRST ENTRY: WEDNESDAY, JUNE 28TH
Hi this is Lindsey Dudley with the Denver Nuggets Dancers. We left on the 27th and have since been on the plane most of the time. We flew to San Francisco for a few hours, and then to Hong Kong, China on a 14-hour flight. We slept most of the way, and tried to pass the time on our iPods. Once we got to Hong Kong, we had another short two hour flight to the beautiful Hangzhou, China. Today, I am not sure what day it is, but it's beautiful here and VERY green! We did our first performance today and the crowd was so accepting and excited to see us! We have another performance tonight and then hopefully we'll do some sight seeing and shopping. I will also be sending some photos from here as well so that you can see for yourself how amazing it is. Until next time . . . I'll talk to you soon!
