Since the team’s inaugural season in 1967, the Pacers have a rich history of community involvement. The Pacers Community Relations Department works as an extension of the team to develop and implement resourceful and valuable programs that contribute directly to Pacers Sports & Entertainment’s core purposes of Winning Championships and Serving Community.

A very special thank-you letter for the Pacers On March 31, 2007, Pacers players, front-office staff and employees assembled on the loading dock of Conseco Fieldhouse to construct a home for Habitat for Humanity. The home was shipped to Hattiesburg, Miss., and is the residence of Cynthia Williams, who wrote a touching thank-you letter to the Pacers and the NBA for their participation in the program.
