Abrams Academic Achievement Award Presented by Pacers

For the seventh season, the Indiana Pacers, in partnership with team physician Dr. John Abrams, presented the Abrams Academic Achievement Award.

The award was originally established to recognize Pacers Academy students for their hard work and efforts in academic pursuits. During the 2007-08 season, the program expanded to include students at the Pacers Learning Centers in Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS). The IPS schools with a Pacers Learning Center are IPS #31, IPS #44, IPS #82, IPS #87, IPS #98 and IPS #103.

Each month during the Pacers season, a student receives two tickets to a Pacers game, where they are recognized during a pregame, on-court ceremony and serve as an honorary ball kid. They also receive a Simon Mall gift certificate, a Certificate of Achievement, a Pacers goodie bag and have their name engraved on a plaque which is displayed at the respective school.
