Jr. Automotion began in 1996 along with the inaugural Automotion team. Jr. Automotion is a group of young dancers, ages 7 through 11, that have gone through an audition process amongst hundreds of other candidates. The purpose of the program is primarily to foster youth relationships with Automotion, to teach dance technique to the potential future of Automotion and to teach young girls what it is like to be on a professional dance team.
Five Things to Know About Junior Automotion:
- Junior Automotion began in 1996 along with the inaugural Automotion team.
- The purpose of the program, in additon to teaching its members about teamwork and self-esteem, is primarily to foster youth relationships with Automotion, to teach dance technique and to show young girls what it is like to be on a professional dance team.
- Junior Automotion dancers are the best of the best. The 18 girls that were selected for Junior Automotion had to go through an audition process that involved hundreds of other candidates.
- Junior Automotion is a group of young dancers, ages 7 through 11.
- In addition to working with Automotion, Junior Automotion have performed with Hooper, Mini-Hooper, and even the Disney boy band, B5.
