Suns Aquire Jon Leuer From Memphis

PHOENIX – The Phoenix Suns have acquired forward Jon Leuer from the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for the draft rights to Andrew Harrison, who the Suns selected with the 44th overall pick of the 2015 NBA Draft.

A four-year NBA veteran, Leuer (pronounced LOO-er) played in a career-high 63 games with the Grizzlies in 2014-15, averaging 4.5 points and 3.3 rebounds in 13.1 minutes. The 6-10, 228-pound Leuer had his best performance of the season against Miami on Dec. 7 when he scored a season-high 20 points and tied a career-high with 12 rebounds.

The 40th overall pick of the 2011 NBA Draft from the University of Wisconsin, Leuer holds career averages of 4.6 points on 47.9 percent shooting, 2.8 rebounds and 11.9 minutes in 186 games (18 starts) with the Milwaukee Bucks (2011-12), Cleveland Cavaliers (2012-13) and Grizzlies (2012-15). Leuer has two double-doubles and 31 double-digit scoring games in his career, including a career-best 23-point performance against the Suns on Dec. 3, 2013. The native of Orono, Minn. earned All-Big Ten honors after averaging 18.3 points and 7.2 rebounds as a senior for the Badgers in 2010-11.
