Suns Team With MassMutual to Provide Free Life Insurance to Children

The Phoenix Suns and Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) teamed up to provide free $50,000 term life insurance policies to benefit children of working families throughout Phoenix on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at The Phoenix Indian Center (4520 N. Central Ave.).

The Gorilla and members of the Solar Squad were on-site to mingle with fans and provided the first 100 applicants with tickets to the Suns-Thunder game on Feb. 26 at US Airways Center.

The LifeBridge event was a follow-up to MassMutual’s FutureSmart Challenge with the Phoenix Suns, which was held at US Airways Center on Monday, Feb. 9. The FutureSmart program aims to teach middle school students about smart money management skills and the importance of education to give them a leg up for their financial future.

“LifeBridge is a unique and important program that will help many families provide an education safety net for their children,” said Jeff Dollarhide of MassMutual Arizona, a general agency of MassMutual. “Just as we are teaching children about the importance of education and good money management through FutureSmart, we also want to give their parents peace of mind through LifeBridge so that if something where to happen to them, their children could still afford a college degree, tutoring or even pre-school.”
