Suns Player of the Week (Nov. 23-29)

Every Monday, Suns.com's Matt Petersen hands out his Suns Player of the Week award based on the previous seven-day stretch. Stats are always a good indicator, but other factors can also come into play (intangible impact, game-swinging spurts, etc.). The runner-up is also included because often, that second guy's impact was just as impressive as the first's.

Player of the Week — TJ Warren

Warren's Career Night

It's difficult for opponents to defend someone who doesn't have a go-to move. TJ Warren's ability to score in a seemingly new and unique way with every shot has defenses bamboozled, and now that his defense has improved enough to earn more playing time, that effect is more present than ever.

Warren averaged 19.3 points at a scorching 59.6-percent clip last week, and even managed to hit 40 percent of his threes. He also led the team in offensive rebounds per game (2.3) and turned the ball over just four times in four outings.

Runner-Up Player of the Week — Brandon Knight

Knight Drops 29 on Pelicans

Knight never gives opposing defenses a night off, especially from three. The 6-3 guard has hit at least one trey in every appearance he has made this season. He made nine of them last week, and continues to lead the team in threes made per game (2.6).

Knight is also wreaking havoc on the defensive end, where he came up with eight total steals over his last four games. He's currently tied with his career-high of 1.6 thefts per contest, and that number should hold steady with he and Eric Bledsoe applying consistent pressure on opposing guards.
