As you know, the FastBreak Foundation has undergone many changes over the past few years. And after careful consideration, we will undergo one more major change by moving away from the Signature, Premiere and Assist grants. Our goal is to serve more organizations that embody the mission of our foundation, by giving a minimum of six $10,000 grants.

Each month during the 2008-2009 season the FastBreak Foundation will focus on a specific area of giving. The month will feature events, programs and a $10,000 grant to an organization that best fits the theme and fulfills the mission of the Foundation. Below is a list of the monthly themes.

The winner of each month will receive: the $10,000 grant, a booth to market your organization at one of the games, a Public Address announcement during the game and tickets for a game. The runner-up for the month will received a booth at one of our games, a Public Address announcement during the game and tickets for that game. Every organization that applies for a grant will receive tickets to one of our games during the specific month.

October: New Season, New Beginnings
Organizations that offer youth a new direction or opportunity

November: Operation Minnesota Heroes
Organizations supporting Minnesota Military troops and their families

December: Season of Giving
Organizations that serve families in need during the holiday season

January: WolvesCare
Organizations that focus efforts on supporting children fighting life-threatening illness

February: Black History
Organizations that focus on supporting African American education, health or Heritage

March: Read to Achieve
Organizations that focus on literacy and encourage a life long love for reading

April: Fan Appreciation
