Dunn Stars In Commercial With The Guy From Scrubs

The schedule for top picks in the NBA Draft is a whirlwind.

Interview, interview, interview. Photoshoot. Eat. Interview. Get drafted. Get interviewed. Fly to new city. Interview. Photoshoot. Eat.

It really doesn’t stop. When Wolves No. 5 pick Kris Dunn arrived in Minnesota last Friday, he told Timberwolves.com that he got “zero sleep” the night before. That actually led to a pretty solid interview in which he compared himself to Deion Sanders (he was joking).

Dunn was a great sport about the hectic schedule. After all, he did just complete his dream, so sleep can wait.

Before the Draft, Dunn’s schedule was apparently wild as well. He appeared in a Speed Stick commercial with No. 2 overall pick Brandon Ingram and the mean, but loveable, guy from “Scrubs.”

No, not J.D.

Dr. Perry Cox.

(My college roommate, Steve, and I spent countless hours falling in love with Elliot Reid. We were very single people in college.)

Ironically, 11 seconds into the second commercial spot titled “Facing Adversity,” Dr. Perry Cox mentions a Wolf Pack to Dunn. He wasn’t talking about the Timberwolves in this reference, but hey, it’s funny how things work.

Who needs Woj when you have Dr. Perry Cox?

You can check out all of the commercials below. Dunn looks like he’ll be a player who will be marketable on and off the court.
