Three Questions With Nik Stauskas

Prior to Saturday's game against the Sacramento Kings, our Kyle Ratke was able to chat with rookie sharpshooter Nik Stauskas for a bit. Check out their converstation below.

KR: You played college ball with GRIII at Michigan. Were you able to chat with him at all before tonight's game? Do you guys still keep in touch?

NS: I haven't talked to him since I got into town, but you know, we still stay in contact every once in a while and check in on each other.

KR: Canadian basketball over the last few years has really picked up with guys like you, Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett. Being in the youth movement of that, is that pretty exciting?

NS: I think we're all really proud to be Canadian and hopefully one day we can help lead that team to the Olympics and you know, maybe even medal. It helps all of us kind of came up together and now we're making a run in the NBA. We're happy for each other.

KR: Did you get the chance to see Vince Carter's tribute in Toronto the other night? Pretty cool stuff.

NS: Yeah. He definitely deserved that because without him being in Toronto, I don't think there would be the same kind of talent coming out of that Toronto area. He gave us a start player to look up to, especially for the younger kids. It was cool seeing that.
