Kings 94 - Warriors 91


Rookie Jason Thompson scored on a putback with 17 seconds left to break a 91-91 tie and hit a free throw 14 seconds later to give the Sacramento Kings a 94-91 victory over the Golden State Warriors at the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas on Friday.

With the loss, the Warriors fall to 3-1 and into a four-way tie for first place in the NBA Summer League, presented by EA SPORTS.

Third-year pro Quincy Douby had a monster game for the Kings, scoring a game-high 36 points. Thompson finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds, while sophomore Spencer Hawes collected 13 points and 14 rebounds.

C.J. Watson led the Warriors with 24 points and six assists. Rookie Anthony Randolph contributed 16 points, DeMarcus Nelson added 11 and Anthony Morrow chipped in with 10.

Notes: The Warriors will wind up their Summer League campaign with a game at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday vs. the Toronto Raptors. The Kings end their Las Vegas stint on Sunday, facing the Houston Rockets in the final game of the last day of the Summer League.
