Wizards Add Fox 1370 Sports Radio As Baltimore Affiliate

The Washington Wizards announced today that they have added WVIE, Fox 1370 Sports Radio, as the Baltimore affiliate of their radio network. The 50,000-watt station recently switched to an all-sports format and will carry all 82 Wizards regular season games as well as their eight-game preseason schedule (including their games abroad in Berlin and Barcelona).

“We are excited to add Gilbert Arenas, Caron Butler, Antawn Jamison and the rest of the Wizards to our All-Star lineup,” said Fox 1370 Sports Radio General Manager Bob Pettit. “NBA fans in Baltimore can look forward to the radio dial coming alive as the Wizards take on the other icons of the NBA and go for their fifth straight playoff appearance.”

The Washington Wizards Radio Network now has 11 stations encompassing Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia. Dave Johnson returns for his 12th season as the play-by-play voice for the team while Glenn Consor will join the broadcast for his second season as color analyst. WTEM ESPN Radio 980 serves as the Wizard Radio Network’s flagship station.

“We’re very proud to have Baltimore’s Fox 1370 join the Wizards radio network,” said Wizards Executive Vice President Matt Williams. “Our Baltimore area fans, many of whom have been with us for over 30 years, will be able to follow every minute of exciting Wizards basketball on a brand new all-sports station in Baltimore.”
