Schröder's 24 Puts Germany In Position To Advance

Atlanta Hawks point guard Dennis Schröder continued his hot shooting for the German national team on Sunday, scoring 24 points while making six of his 10 field goal attempts in an 88-69 win over Austria that puts Germany in good position to advance to the Final Round of EuroBasket 2015 qualifying.

Schröder also recorded six assists, three steals and three rebounds and made all 10 of his free throw attempts.  He's averaging 16.4 points and five assists while shooting better than 57 percent for the tournament.  The 24 points and 10 free throws were both tournament highs for him, and he is 16/16 from the line overall.

The German team swept Austria, winning both games during second round group play and sit at 3-2 with one game remaining against 0-5 Luxembourg, whom they beat by 60 in the first meeting.  They must finish second in the group to at least have a chance at advancing.
