Three Hawks to Take Part in NBA State Farm All-Star Saturday Night Events

ATLANTA -- NBA three-point percentage leader Kyle Korver will take part in the 2015 Foot Locker Three-Point Contest, while All-Star Jeff Teague will participate in the Taco Bell Skills Challenge and Hawks legend and Hall-of-Famer Dominique Wilkins will defend his crown once again in the Degree Shooting Stars. All events will be part of the State Farm All-Star Saturday Night at All-Star 2015 on Feb. 14 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.

The NBA leader this season in 3FG% (.532), Korver is second in 3FGM (149), while he ranks second in FT% and 15th in FG%. In 49 games (all starts), Korver has averaged 12.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 33.1 minutes, hitting at least four three’s in a game 20 times this season.

He’s also second in the NBA in effective FG% (.707) and fourth in +/- ration (+436). He has scored in double-figures 35 times, including six 20-point outings. He previously participated in the three-point contest in 2004 and 2005.

Named to his first All-Star game on Jan. 29, Teague is averaging 17.0 points, 7.5 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 31.4 minutes (.467 FG%, .862 FT%), and has played in 46 games (45 starts). He ranked tied for sixth in the NBA in apg, 13th in spg, 17th in A/TO ratio (2.80), t21st in FT%, 21st in FTM (187) and 35th in ppg.

He was named the NBA’s Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played 12/29-1/4. Teague previously participated in the skills challenge in 2013.

The Hawks are leading the Eastern Conference with a 41-9 (.820) record and finished January with a 17-0 mark, becoming the first team in NBA history to go 17-0 in a calendar month. Atlanta recorded a franchise-mark 19 straight wins from 12/27 – 1/31, tied for the fifth-longest streak in NBA history. Atlanta owns a Conference-leading 24-3 home record, and an NBA-best 17-6 road mark. Atlanta is 34-3 (.919) over its last 37 contests. Korver and Teague joined teammates DeMarre Carroll, Al Hoford and Paul Millsap as the Kia NBA Eastern Conference Players of the Month for January.

Wilkins, along with Degree Shooting Stars teammates Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat and Swin Cash of the New York Liberty, are the two-time defending champions of the event.
